Fall in Love with this Colorful October Wedding Day

October 17, 2020

Heavenly View LLC Kaitlyn and Andrew got married on a perfect fall day back in October. The venue, Heavenly View, is a gorgeous modern barn nestled atop rolling hills in St. Paul, Kentucky. In the bridal prep suite, Kaitlyn and her bridesmaids sipped mimosas and snacked delicately on doritos while the final hair and makeup touches were applied.

Forgoing a first look with the groom, Kaitlyn did have a special moment set aside for her father. After this sweet first look, we shuffled the bride and groom around the sides of the building, making sure to keep them from seeing each other before the ceremony. The early family and party portraits were all smiles and laughs, with an especially on point couch pose inspired by "Friends" and a too cool group shot of all the guys with matching shades.

Andrew had his socks knocked off by the first glimpses of Kaitlyn coming down the aisle. The ceremony performed by the father of the groom, and contained a powerful message about all the work that goes into a marriage. The backdrop for the ceremony glowed golden in the setting sun, and was the perfect autumn setting for this wedding.

Following the ceremony we shot the big beautiful group shots as well as some really stellar intimate wedding portraits. Reception was a white girl comfort food dream with - get this - THREE different kinds of soup. The first dance, and parent dances were accompanied by a really sweet slideshow showing the couple as they grew up and there were few dry eyes in the house. A surprise double-cross cake smash caught the matron of honor and best man off guard and the party continued into the night far after our photo team had left!
