Ethereal Wedding at Heavenly View

Kourtnee and Blake got married at Heavenly View, one of my favorite local wedding venues. The team at Heavenly View always does an incredible job. I'm always excited to see new improvements to their decor and setups every time I shoot there (which you can see here and here), and this most recent wedding was no exception. The elegant color palette of robust greenery and elegant white blooms combined with stunning decor pieces and the flower petals scattered everywhere had the space looking absolutely incredible and timeless.

Kourtnee and Blake decided to forego a first look, so our wedding prep time was spent separately, with my second shooter and I rotating in and around the building to keep eye lines clear and free of unwanted sneak peeks. We did however, coordinate several non groom first looks - a trend that I've had more and more often over the past couple of years- that I absolutely love. Kourtnee and Blake did decide to add in a back to back gift exchange and first touch, no peeking allowed.

Prior to the ceremony - the important women in Kourtnee's life converged on the dressing room to pray together over Kourtnee, the wedding and the marriage. The ceremony was powerful and resonant with spirit and intent. After the ceremony we did group photos and formal photos using the waterfall the venue is known for, as well as the gorgeous hillside the venue backs up to.

Ceremony space was transformed into an absolutely stunning dance floor for the rest of the evenings events. Cake cutting and speeches led into the formal dances and balloon exit, which also revealed some goofballs had gone oldschool on the getaway car. Loads of laughs later, the reception ended with a final slow dance and we said our goodbyes.
